The Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute is reminding southeast Michigan that early detection of cancer is important by hosting a screening event open to the public.

Screening Saves: Cancer Screening and Education Event on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. will allow people to get breast, colon, lung, head & Neck and numerous other health checks like cholesterol, blood pressure and vaccinations. We will be open to the public targeting Metro Detroit populations are behind on their screenings, don't have a primary physician, and/or don't have insurance.

During our event, we plan to hold a raffle and offer free gift bags to all participants and volunteers. With your donations, we hope to offer suitable raffle gift(s), gift bag swag and/or resources to assist uninsured or underinsured patients with assistance getting screenings.

As a thank you for your kind donation, we'll feature your logo on our website, all marketing materials at the event, promotional posters and flyers, email blast as well as the participant resource documents
