Experts tell us that 90% of a child’s brain is developed by the time they reach the age of 5. Access to quality education in the early years is crucial in the development and success of our children.

The San Diego Cooperative Preschool (SDCP) has been providing just that since 1963. SDCP is a nonprofit organization that provides premium care, while creating a nurturing and supportive community of children, parents, and highly skilled staff. Through this cooperative partnership we are a model of community that will sustain and enrich our children throughout their lives.

The importance of education is not only vital for the children we teach but also for the educators who are teaching them. With your help, we will be able to send our teachers to the worlds largest early childhood conference created by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Here they will be able to connect, collaborate and learn with fellow early childhood educators from around the globe. This annual conference takes place over several days and allows early childhood educators to get up to date with the latest practices in the field, choose from hundreds of innovative sessions to attend, network with other professionals and reignite their passion for teaching young children.

Teachers change lives and we invite you to change the lives of our teachers which in turn changes the lives of the children we spend our days with, through giving back to the community by donating to our 55th annual community celebration and fundraising event. SDCP is wholly supported by our active members, contributors like yourself, and the community at large. SDCP is a 501(c) (3) tax-exempt organization, which means that donations to us are tax deductible. Our EIN number is 46-1740672 under our legal name UCP San Diego.
