Season of Giving is an annual fundraising event hosted by Safer Foundation (Safer) to harness internal and external giving to support agency clients at the holidays and in the new year. The event begins on November 28th and runs through December 12th with gift basket raffles and other events. Safer provides workforce development and other supportive services in addition to barrier mitigation and policy/advocacy work. The agency is focused on providing individuals with arrest and conviction records with a fair opportunity to improve their circumstances and to create positive change for themselves, their families, and their communities. One in three American adults have an arrest or conviction record, which limits their access to education, jobs, housing, and other basic needs to ensure successful reentry into communities and reach their full potential! Season of Giving Fundraising Efforts: • Food Drive- meals for the holiday and throughout 2024 for our clients and their families. • Toy Drive- funding so every family can provide gifts for their children. • Client Support Services- work boots, uniforms, and other needs to support employment. Season of Giving is publicized on social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, the agency newsletter, website, and emails blasts. All sponsors are recognized frequently on these platforms, as well as at events and in Safer Foundation publications.
