On Saturday, June 24, Schlitz Audubon Nature Center will host its 2023 Annual Gala, Sense of Wonder. This early summer soiree will bring together 200 guests to celebrate the mission-critical work of Schlitz Audubon through a true feast for the senses. The Annual Gala is critical to our fundraising efforts, and we hope you will consider supporting the event through a donation to our silent auction taking place both in person and online.
Schlitz Audubon reaches more than 20,000 students every year, instilling a sense of wonder through environmental educational programs that will drive children to keep exploring throughout their lifetimes. Six miles of trails, more than a mile of which are wheelchair accessible, allow people of all abilities to explore myriad habitats. It is the mission of Schlitz Audubon to connect people to nature and to inspire them to become responsible stewards of the natural world. Through environmental education and community partners like you, we hope to build a more sustainable future.
Funds raised during the evening will support:

• Youth Environmental Education Scholarships: Free field-trip and in-school programming for up to 5,000 elementary, middle, and high school students each year.
• Programming for People with Specific Needs: Offerings tailored to the unique abilities of each group, providing meaningful experiences for more than 1,000 people annually.
• Early Childhood Education Scholarships: Multi-visit programming that gives more than 100 early learners experiences both at the Center and in their schools every month.
