Sensory Processing Disorder/Autism Awareness Benefit Golf Tournament
Golf Tournament for Puzzle SolversJun 16, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Dear Friends,
We are excited to be hosting the 2nd annual Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD)/ Autism Awareness benefit golf tournament in June and are hoping for your donation to help make this event a success. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Sensory Integration/Motor Sensory (SIMS) Exploration center at SUNY Cortland. The SIMS Lab was developed by an internationally recognized expert in adaptive physical education and is a vital part of the Cortland community.
Created in 2014, the Lab provides multidisciplinary service, training, and research opportunities that address the needs of children with Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) and Autism. SPD is a condition in which the brain misinterprets basic sensory information such as sound, touch, and movement creating what is sometimes referred to as a “neurological traffic jamâ€. Specialized equipment and activities help children better interpret a wide variety of sensory signals in a colorful playground-like setting.
Support from the local community and businesses like yours, along with the tournament and Puzzle Solvers help to fund year-round services to children in the Cortland region. We are asking you to consider a monetary donation, gift basket, or raffle prize to our benefit. There are also several opportunities to sponsor a hole for $100ea. (Includes signage and recognition). Your support today will help children challenged with Sensory Processing Disorder get the help they need. Please take a moment to watch our YouTube video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKtkT5RMf1Q
Thank you in advance for your donation & support.
Sincerely yours,
