Description

"Set the Stage" is CastleCo Theatre's (CCT's) annual fundraising event with a goal of raising funds to help off-set the costs for CCT's large summer theatre production. The event includes activities and games, social opportunities, a bake sale, straight donation opportunities, and auction items (with an emphasis on experience items for couples and families).

CCT has a mission of theatre for all. This mission is accomplished through making theatre arts opportunities accessible to everyone, regardless of age, experience or income level. Each summer, CCT produces a musical theatre production with professional quality sets, costumes and lighting, and a cast of over 150 actors ranging in age from 5 years to adult. The vast majority of actors live in Dakota County, MN. CCT works to find roles for all actors who wish to participate and who can commit to the rehearsal schedule regardless of experience level, physical ability, learning needs and ability to pay the participation fee. Through participation in the production, community members learn what it means to show commitment to a goal and work as a team (or community), seeing first-hand that when people work together, they can accomplish things larger than they could have done on their own. Cast members develop skills in concentration, confidence and compassion while working with community members of all ages who may have different backgrounds, beliefs and economic situations than their own.
