Willing Warriors just celebrated its 10-year anniversary as a nonprofit this past July. In the past decade, over 20,000 service members, Veterans, and their families have been touched by impactful programs and respite stays at the Warrior Retreat at Bull Run. The Retreat serves as a “Home Away from Home,” providing a place to relax, reconnect, and rejuvenate. Warriors can heal with their loved ones and leave with a renewed sense of resiliency. The demand for more stays has grown, especially in the past two years. It has been an honor to provide a place for healing for our Warrior families.

We are currently organizing our 7th Annual Willing Warriors Gala on November 5th, 2022, at Lansdowne Resort and Spa in Leesburg, Virginia. This Gala will be an incredible evening to share our mission, honor our Warriors, and enjoy a live auction, and excellent food. The encompassing theme for our Gala this year is centered on our growth and the funds needed to fulfill our latest endeavor of breaking ground for The Grand Lodge at the Warrior Retreat. We have seen first-hand the need for additional programs and services for Warrior groups such as post-traumatic stress peer mentorship, military sexual assault survivor counseling, transition assistance education, and career training for Veterans, to name a few. The Grand Lodge will feature a 2,000 square foot multipurpose space devoted to seminars, workshops, and many other programs tailored to fit our Warrior groups’ unique and vital needs. The goal is to raise $300,000 for the new Grand Lodge building, and we need silent and live auction items.
