We are a local 501c3 organization honoring Downers Grove resident and fallen Marine, Sgt Thomas Gilbert. Although he did not have kids of his own he loved sharing his love of the outdoors with children. Every year we host a Family Fishing Day, giving each of the 200-500 kids in attendance a free fishing pole, tackle, crafts, games and lunch for the family. This event is entirely free! We doubled in size in 2019 and continue to grow each year! We fund this event with a golf outing/silent auction each year and with our growing attendance are looking to increase our silent auction.
