I’m writing today on behalf of the Shakespeare in the Ruff board of directors to request a donation for a silent auction we’re planning as part of a “trivia night” fundraising event on Monday, June 10 from 6:00-10:00 pm. at Black Lab Brewing. We’re anticipating that this event will attract 50-60 participants for an evening of fun and games.

Shakespeare in the Ruff (charity # 829282508RR0001) is a Toronto-based professional outdoor theatre company that breathes life and magic into Shakespeare’s works for Toronto’s diverse and contemporary audience. This summer they’re producing a new adaptation of The Tempest: A Witch in Algiers directed by Kwaku Okyere, which will open in mid-August in Withrow Park.

Shakespeare in the Ruff is committed to strengthening ties to the local community through their programming and related events. To that end, I’m writing to ask request a donation in support of Shakespeare in the Ruff’s silent auction. We would also be delighted to have you attend the trivia night if your schedule permits (more details to follow soon).
