Sharkfest is a carnival that brings students, parents, teachers, staff and community together to enjoy carnival games, bounce houses, field games, food, and a silent auction.  The main goal of Sharkfest is to generate funds to help pay for educational materials and educational programs that enrich the students at Shadow Forest Elementary. Your support through our annual fundraiser is greatly appreciated and vital to our cause. Shadow Forest Elementary PTA provides supplemental educational programs, reading materials, science and technology equipment, speakers, and other items that supplement Shadow Forest Elementary students’ curriculum. These include, but are not limited to: providing student recognition awards; funding and providing lesson plans on people with disabilities; funding other in-school programs; supplementing field trips; funding the hospitality committee to make our teachers and staff feel appreciated; beautifying school campus; supplementing music program; supplementing science lab equipment; recognizing veterans through a Veteran's Day program; supplementing the workroom supplies; and supplementing the yearly field day put on by the Physical Education department. SFE PTA members also donate numerous hours throughout the school year to help teachers, staff, students and the running of PTA-sponsored programs.
