Description

Join us for the first annual Share the Love 5k in memory of Collins Leach benefitting the Baptist Centers for Good Grief. This fun event will take place at the Kemmons Wilson Family Center for Good Grief on the Baptist-Collierville Campus and will include a 5k run and Family Fun Run/walk.

In addition to the run, we will also be hosting a family festival to allow families, who have used the Centers’ services, to reunite. This will be a fun atmosphere allowing kids that have attended Camp Good Grief together, teens that have attended groups together, and adults that have attended retreats together to visit and see the amazing Baptist Centers for Good Grief staff who have helped them on their grief journey.

Thanks to the generous support of donors, the Baptist Centers for Good Grief are the only year-round providers of free bereavement services, open to all individuals, in the Memphis and Mid-South areas. Our counselors provide all services free of charge to everyone without regard to a client’s health care affiliation or ability to pay. Additionally, there is no limit on the number of counseling sessions provided to clients. All Grief Center services are supported solely by donations from individuals, foundations, and corporations.

In 2022, almost 5,700 grief counseling sessions were provided at the Milla’s House and Kemmons Wilson Family Center for Good Grief locations. We would love to have you included in the first annual Share The Love 5K and support this needed cause and help raise funds to provide this free resource to our community.

We appreciate your consideration of this great event. For more information, contact Laura Cantrell at (901) 227-7002 or laura.cantrell@bcmhcc.org. To learn more about the Baptist Centers for Good Grief, please visit our website at baptistgriefcenters.org.
