Description

We are writing to ask for your company or organization’s support for our upcoming Spring Carnival. Shirley Hills Primary School is located on the western banks of Lake Minnetonka in Mound, Minnesota, and is comprised of approximately 415 students in grades K-4. Given the impacts of COVID on our fundraising during the past two school years, we are excited to host our annual Silent Auction in conjunction with the Spring Carnival on Saturday April 22, 2022. This is our largest fundraising event of the year and attended by hundreds of community members.

We hope you will consider supporting us by donating an item, gift card, or service to our auction! Your donation will start our focus on the new Makerspace in our Media Center. Simply put, a makerspace is a place where you can make things. It's a place for hands-on learning with all the tools for creativity. Additionally, the proceeds allow the PTA to continue to provide each teacher needed funds to maintain his/her own classroom. With your help we are able to provide scholarships and school supplies to students in need and host events that help expand the educational experiences of our students. Annually we provide opportunities for reading, art & creativity growth through our Read-A-Thon, Adventures in Art and Imagination Fair programs.

This year's main focus is to raise money for Makerspace: provide opportunities for critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, and innovation. Build a sense of community and allow students to make connections with students, staff, and community members. Provide a way to demonstrate national, state, and district learning standards and initiatives inside and outside of the classroom.
