When the young men and women of Shrewsbury High School take to the lakes and rivers of Massachusetts for crew, we see the best of what youth can mean: dedication, teamwork, physical activity, and high spirits put to good purposes. Shrewsbury High School Crew was launched in 1937 by Helms Hall of Fame rower, Kenneth Burns, who went on to coach for nearly 50 years. It’s a tradition dating back more than 80 years—and you can help to be a part of ensuring that it continues.

The Friends of Shrewsbury Crew (FOSC) is gathering donations for the Annual Calendar Raffle to support the Shrewsbury High School Crew Teams. The athletes sell tickets in April; winners are announced daily in May.

You can help Shrewsbury High’s strong crew program (Spring 2023 MA Public School Champions) endure for years to come by joining our Annual Calendar Raffle. The prizes and donors will be printed on the calendar. Prizes, donors, and winners will be posted daily on the FOSC website (shrewsburycrew.org) and Shrewsbury Crew Facebook page, creating a great advertising opportunity for you! Any monetary donation, item or service with broad appeal would be appropriate (including gift certificates). The raffle has been a huge success in past years thanks to the generosity of local businesses like yours.  Prize donations of cash gift cards, products and/or services that would appeal to high school athletes or their families are appreciated. 

The Friends of Shrewsbury Crew (FOSC) was founded to provide financial support for our crew teams. The FOSC works closely with the coaches, the High School Administration, and Athletic Department to raise funds for the equipment necessary to ensure our program can remain competitive.

The FOSC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and will provide you with a receipt for tax purposes. Our tax ID number is 20-0455439.
