The Sierra Madre Elementary Annual Fund Boosters (AFB) invites you to support Sierra Madre
Elementary (SME) for our spring fundraiser on Saturday, April 20, 2024. Every year, we partner with the
businesses in our community to support our school. The event will consist of a silent auction, live
auction, dinner, and dancing.

Nearly 200 guests, parents and friends who live in our immediate area, attended the event in 2023, and
we expect about the same number this year. Additionally, many of our families will participate in the
silent auction online, which will be open for about a week. These guests love our school and our
community, and they remember the businesses that partner with us to support our kids.
All donations are tax deductible through the Pasadena Educational Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)3
organization. AFB is run and staffed by parent volunteers, so 100% of profits go directly to supporting
SME.

We are proud to say that SME was just designated a California Distinguished School by the California
Department of Education. We are a public school, but public funding does not cover all of the vital
programs that help make SME such a great place for our community’s kids. This year, fundraising will pay
for 13 vital staff at SME: Music Teacher, Library Coordinator, Recreation/Noon Aides, Behavior Aide, Arts
Specialists (Art, Dance & Theater), and our “Eagle Time'' specialists in STEAM, Foreign Language,
Physical Education and Gardening.

As a member of our community, we hope that you will partner with us by donating items for our silent
and live auctions. To donate, please complete the enclosed donation form and return it to us via mail,
e-mail, or fax by March 31, 2024.

In recognition of your generosity, you and/or your company will be acknowledged prominently in our
