Dear Sir or Madam:

I am writing on behalf of the Valley View Elementary School PTA in La Crescenta, part of the Glendale Unified School District. We are a non-profit facility and fall under IRS tax exemption 501 c (3). May 1st, 2014 the PTA will hold our major fundraiser, a Silent Auction. This event raises funds for special events and programs at our school as well as celebrates the community that makes up our wonderful school.

The money raised from this event are used to fund meaningful school programs such as Red Ribbon Week, a week long focus on drug prevention and healthy choices, Reflection Workshops ,art supplies, buses for field trips, assemblies, parent education, the annual Daddy/Daughter and Mother/Son events and requests from the school to enrich the academic curriculum.

Your generosity plays a key role in making this a successful event. We are asking you for any donation you may be able to contribute to this important cause. Your generous donation would be recognized in a pamphlet of silent auction items sent to every parent at the school, as well as at the events themselves. Your business will also be recognized in our school newsletter, The Eagle’s View, which is read by over 440 families who attend our school. But most importantly, your donation will be used to benefit children.
