Open Door School is a nonprofit, non-sectarian preschool founded in 1966. Open Door School was one of Charlotte’s first integrated preschools and was the first preschool program in Charlotte-Mecklenburg to be accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Open Door School encourages the enrollment of children of all races, religions, economic levels, ethnic origins, and special needs. We respect each child’s uniqueness and dignity.

This spring, Open Door School will hold a Silent Auction to raise funds for our Financial Aid Fund. It is our hope that you will help us by donating a product, gift certificate, or service to be used towards one of these fundraisers. Your contribution is tax deductible. You and your company will be featured on a large Donor Board at the respective event. This opportunity serves as a great advertising medium for our supporters and most of all, your gift will help so that any child in our community may attend this unique progressive education program.
