To Whom It May Concern:

Thank you for your consideration in donating to the Northeast Texas Children's Museum’s 2024 Silent Auction and Market. Below you will find information about the event and the Children's Museum. We look forward to hearing from you.

NORTHEAST TEXAS CHILDREN’S MUSEUM

The Northeast Texas Children’s Museum (NETXCM) is a small museum making a big impact in north Texas. Since opening its doors in 2002, NETXCM has served numerous children around the state, providing a creative and enriching learning experience. The Children’s Museum’s hands-on exhibits and planned activities serve to enhance and supplement classroom curriculum.

The mission of NETXCM is to inspire imagination, enhance creativity and build confidence in children. We will accomplish the mission of the Northeast Texas Children’s Museum by investing in hands-on, minds-on opportunities for children to engage in activities that will strengthen their intellect and prepare them for a future of competition and collaboration in the world.

NETXCM topped 47,000 visitors in 2023, some of whom have come as far as Fort Worth, almost two hours west of Commerce. Visitors include families, birthday parties, and school groups throughout the year, as well as those attending our six community events. New exhibits include a Fossil Dig, Dragon Cave, and an interactive sports wall called Multi Ball. There is no other children’s museum or family attraction like NETXCM in northeast Texas and it is important that admission fees remain affordable for families in our low-income area.

NETXCM offers engaging learning opportunities through our educational programming. Around 15,000 students from seventy schools came to NETXCM for field trips and educational programs in the 2022-2023 school year. With our new STEM program for third graders and fifth-grade Weird Science program, students get a concrete, fun experiences with math and science equipment many schools cannot afford.  Our field trips offer lessons on health and science for younger students called Sensory Kids.

Along with the Silent Auction and Market, NETXCM hosts several community events. These events include our annual Daddy-Daughter Dance, Easter Egg Hunt, Spooky Night at the Museum and Brunch with Santa. It is important for NETXCM to offer these family-centric community events at low or no cost.

Profits from our annual Silent Auction will go to introducing new educational programming, enhancing our exhibit areas, and increasing our community events. With your generous donation, NETXCM can continue to make an impact on the children and families of northeast Texas. Thank you for your consideration.
