Good Shepherd Lutheran School in Burnsville, MN is a long-standing member of the south metro community providing Christian Preschool and K-8th grade education for 44 years. We are committed to providing a high quality, values-based education in a small classroom setting. 

Historically, we participated in our own version of the Minnesota Marathon for Nonpublic Education called the Race for Education. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, we have been hosting a Walk-A-Thon and Virtual Silent Auction instead. The Silent Auction will be live from September 24th through September 28th and the Walk-A-Thon will be held on Friday, September 26th. The Walk-A-Thon and Silent Auction promote and support the important work of our school, provide a sense of community for our school families and give us the opportunity for further outreach within our district. During this event, promoted to over 1200 people within the Good Shepherd network, we will have a virtual auction with items of gift cards, merchandise, and services from local businesses. This year, proceeds from our event will be used towards our scholarship program, our school facilities and classroom learning enhancement, and towards community outreach and student life fulfillment.

I would like to ask if you’d be willing to provide any donation towards our silent auction. Typically, local businesses will donate merchandise, gift cards or services. Should you make a donation, your business will be recognized and advertised at our event. Also, because our school is a 501(c)(3) charity (ID No. 41-6175156), your contributions are tax deductible. We are able to provide a donation receipt letter for your tax records as well.
