Our church, St. Andrew United Methodist Church in Marietta, GA, is hosting a silent auction on Sunday, August 18, 2024, to raise funds for the Andrew Christian School in Haiti, now known as Institution Mixte la Source du Rhema (school for training boys and girls in the will of God).  Our school, which has been operating since 2005, currently serves over 160 students and is located in a small community on the outskirts of Port Au Prince.

The current situation in Haiti is one of turmoil and social instability.  However, our school has managed to stay operational when others have been forced to close due to the violence and unrest in the country. Our mission is to give children the opportunity to go to school where they can learn a Christian world and life view and how it affects decisions in their homes, their community and their country.  The school provides a safe, loving, nurturing environment, meeting their educational needs during a time of very unsafe and dangerous conditions.  Our church supports their efforts through the church budget, donations and fundraisers.
