We are writing to you on behalf of the 61st Lotus and 63rd Jasmine patrols India 2026; we are members of Girl Guides of Canada. Girl Guides of Canada is a non-profit, all-girl program that invites young girls to challenge themselves, meet new friends and make a difference in their community and worldwide. Our focus is to help  prepare these girls to become confident, courageous and resourceful leaders. We are very pleased that we will be traveling to India in August 2026. 

The adventure would begin with a week long tour of the country.  After that, we will fly to one of the Girl Guide World Centres; Sangam. 

At Sangam, we will participate in a weeklong world centre session called “Brave Spaces”. Here, we will interact with other international travelers and volunteers. Youth will come together to develop their leadership skills and expand their personal horizons. There will also be an opportunity to participate in a service project that is supporting the WAGGGS Development Goals and our efforts to make the world a better space. 

As you can imagine, a trip like this comes with a large financial commitment. As the Leaders and parents, we are reaching out to organizations and businesses requesting support to help off-set the cost of  this trip. We will be holding an online auction, via our Facebook page - from May 31st, 2025 to June 8th, 2025 to help raise funds to assist with the costs of the trip.  

We would love a donation from your organization to add to our Silent Auction items. In return, your name will be displayed on social media, where hundreds of followers will see.  

This will be a very rewarding experience for the girls and we would like to thank you for considering this opportunity to partner with our organization for raising funds.
