Defenders of Children, a Phoenix-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2007 that provides free expert legal services throughout Arizona to the low-income protective parents and guardians of victims of child abuse and neglect, has been selected by the State Bar of Arizona (SBA) to conduct and receive all proceeds from a Silent Auction that will be taking place on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, during the SBA’s Annual Convention at the Sheraton Grand at Wild Horse Pass in Chandler, Arizona.

Those bidding on Silent Auction items, which are required by the SBA to have a market value of at least $75 each, will be the hundreds of judges, lawyers, and other legal professionals from all over the state who attend the Convention each year, which will provide those who generously donate items with an opportunity not only to publicly show their support for Defenders of Children but also to promote their businesses among a large and affluent group of potential customers or clients.

100% of the income generated by Defenders of Children through the Silent Auction will go to supporting our mission to help vulnerable children here in Arizona escape and stay safe from violence, and the market value of items donated will be tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
