This year marks our 8^th annual Silver, Gold, and Basket Night Fundraiser benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Each year’s event grows bigger and gets better; and last year was one for the record books! The Long Island Alumnae Chapter donated $16,183.00 to St. Jude, making our 7-year net total $54,845. We’ve been successful due to the support of our generous participants, vendors, sponsors, and attendees.

This year’s fundraiser will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 again at The INN at New Hyde Park. Our event is a unique way to raise urgently-needed funds for St Jude. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats, and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing and food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

In order to reach our goal, we are seeking partnerships with businesses and organizations to sponsor our event. This will allow you to market your business to potential new customers, build good will with current customers and is tax deductible. There are several sponsorship opportunities available, and we hope we can count on your organization to join us. In support of this, we have set a goal of $25,000 for this year’s event. 

When a child is treated at St. Jude, families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food— because all they should worry about is helping their child live. The budgeted daily operating cost of St. Jude is $2 million. Approximately 75% of the budgeted costs of St. Jude is covered by public contributions. It costs a lot for St. Jude to cure a child with cancer using the latest technologies and care. Donations and events like Silver Gold and Basket Night Fundraiser give parents an incredible feeling of hope, so all a family has to focus on is helping their child live. The event will feature OVER 200 baskets in three different tier levels, a 50/50 raffle, door prizes, Royalty Package, Silent Auction and each attendee goes home with a swag bag full of goodies.We will be having over 275 attendees from all over the Tri-State area at our event this year. We are looking to see if you would be willing to donate something to event itself or to our giveaway bags (coupons, marketing material, etc.).
