The Women's Athletic Association (WAA) is the women's letter winner organization at the University of Chicago. We are sponsoring the Seventh Annual Slam Dunk for Special Olympics on February 4, 2022 at the men's and women's home basketball games against Case Western Reserve University. This is a fundraising raffle.

For the past thirty years, we have conducted similar fundraising events and have raised around $65,000 for Chicago area charities. For over 100 years, the WAA has been an integral part of the University and our surrounding community. As is the case every year, 100% of the proceeds will be donated, with the money that will be raised this year going to two local Special Olympics teams in need. This money will allow them to purchase uniforms, pay for travel expenses, acquire new equipment, etc. The WAA is aware that the Special Olympics teams in our local community are greatly in need of basic necessities for competition, such as equipment and uniforms, items more readily available to teams in more affluent areas. Hence, the WAA pays for all advertising expenses so that 100% of the funds raised through this event will go directly to the schools.

Your participation in the raffle will be acknowledged in all publicity prior to the event and during the raffle on the night of the games.
