Dear Friend of Commodore Sloat Elementary, 

On behalf of the proud parents of Commodore Sloat Elementary School, I am asking for your support at our next Annual Sloat Auction being held on Saturday, March 16th, 2024. This auction is attended by over 150 parents, friends, and community members, and is our largest fundraising event of the year. 

We’re soliciting donations from businesses like yours—those that are passionate about supporting the community and San Francisco’s public schools! Proceeds help to fund this year’s programs like gardening, theater, technology, field trips, cultural assemblies, teacher support, and so much more. 

I have seen first hand what your support means to our kids. It means we offer not one, but two PE classes each week. It means we can bring in art teachers, dance teachers, and drama teachers to instruct our kids in so many different art forms. It means we can put on cultural assemblies that teach our kids about people from all walks of life. It means we can have extra aids and paras in the classroom, which is a HUGE deal, because many kids need extra support with their work and their well-being. It means that we were able to buy top-of-the-line air purifiers to protect our kids from germs AND wildfire smoke. These are all amazing things YOU are helping us give to Sloat Students.

Commodore Sloat School will proudly list your company in the printed catalog and on our event webpage. There are two ways to submit your donation: 

1. Mail your donation to Commodore Sloat School, Attention: Annual Auction, 50 Darien Way, San Francisco, CA 94127.

2. Email Auction@sloatparents.org to schedule a pickup of the item by one of our wonderful parent volunteers.

About Commodore Sloat Elementary School:

Commodore Sloat Elementary School was Founded in 1865 and is located in San Francisco, California in the West of Twin Peaks / West Portal Neighborhoods. Sloat serves grades K-5 in the San Francisco Unified School District. Sloat is proud to be named a California Distinguished School, one of only six SFUSD schools to receive this honor. Sloat also received an additional honor of being one of only 12 California Distinguished schools to be recognized for having an Exemplary Program in Arts Education. Additionally, Sloat was recently named to the California State Honor Roll.
