Essential Foundation inc. (EFI) is a charitable 501(C)(3) non-profit agency dedicated to providing exclusive care and service to the children and families in our community. EFI provides 24-hour residential foster care and adoption services to children that have been removed by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services. Our mission is to provide these children with the resources, care, and opportunities they need to build brighter futures. Essential Foundation works with children and their families in Dallas and Ellis Counties. We are a bridge in the community as well as the schools in the form of counseling and mentorship programs.

We are reaching out to compassionate businesses like yours to request support for our annual Sneaker Gala of 2025, 12/20/2025 at 6 pm. Attendance at the event will be a combination of foster children and their families along with community partners and donors. We expect about 250 individuals at the event this year, possibly more. Our Sneaker Gala relies on auction items and in-kind donations to auction and or share with our foster families to assist in supporting our programs for educational programs, mentoring, family counseling and mediation, to reduce food scarcity and assist them in day-to-day needs.

We are requesting in-kind donations for auction at our Gala or raffle items to celebrate our foster parents and their families; especially during transition into care, providing basic comforts to our children. Our focus for our foster children and their families is to aid in food scarcity, assisting in our community garden to provide veggies, fruits and herbs as well as keeping out food pantry stocked are daily activities at Essential Foundation.
