Description

The Children’s Hospital Foundation is excited about the 35th annual Snow Ball gala, which raised over $300,000 for Norton Children’s Hospital last year!  I am writing today to ask for your participation in this year’s event by donating a silent auction item.

The Snow Ball is one of our largest annual fundraisers, and one of Louisville’s largest black-tie events with an attendance of over 1,000 guests.  Mark your calendars for Saturday, Nov. 23 at the Omni Louisville Hotel.  An open bar, silent auction and five-course gourmet meal will precede dancing to music by Endless Summer Band.  The silent auction is an integral part of this event and includes luxury items such as fine dining experiences, jewelry, trips, and other packages. By contributing to this event, you will help our community’s smallest miracles.

All funds raised at the Snow Ball benefit Norton Children’s Hospital through the Children’s Hospital Foundation, which raises millions of dollars each year to support programs, equipment and facilities, research, advocacy and education at Kentucky’s only full-service, free-standing pediatric hospital and its sister facilities.

Each year, funds from this event are donated to the hospital’s area of greatest need.  This year’s event will benefit the neonatal intensive care unit at Norton Children’s.  Each year, more than 1,100 critically ill and premature infants spend the first weeks to months of their lives in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at Norton Children’s Hospital.  Operating as the seventh largest NICU in the country, this unit has 101 licensed beds and operates at 99% capacity throughout the year with an average stay of 27 days.  No other hospital in the region provides Level IV intensive care.  The NICU serves both premature infants and babies born with conditions requiring advanced care or surgery, and also has three dedicated beds on the Jennifer Lawrence Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU) to treat infants with serious heart conditions.  The Norton Children’s NICU offers the highest level of care available, providing the most high-tech, high-touch care to infants from throughout Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

We know you have many demands on your time, and we thank you for your time and consideration. We hear people say “a miracle happens every day at Norton Children’s Hospital.” Without your generosity, those miracles simply would not be possible.
