The Hayward Education Foundation (HEF) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching educational opportunities for students in all Hayward schools. Since 1983, we have awarded over $1,320,000 to fund innovative classroom projects that foster creativity, boost achievement, and spark a lifelong love of learning.

These projects make a real difference, especially in Hayward, where the majority of students come from socioeconomically disadvantaged backgrounds. When teachers have access to tools that deepen engagement and inspire creativity, students thrive. In many classrooms, this kind of support is the bridge between barriers and breakthroughs. For the 2024–2025 school year alone, we funded 75 innovative projects totaling $67,417.22, thanks to the unwavering generosity of community partners like you.

As we look to the year ahead, we are reminded that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed—regardless of their circumstances. That’s why our mission this year is grounded in one powerful theme: Soar into Excellence. We want every student to feel inspired, equipped, and supported—to lift off and reach new heights in their education.

Our signature fundraising event, Soar into Excellence, will be held on Saturday, July 19, 2025, and we need your help to make it a success. We are currently seeking donations for our silent and live auctions. Whether it’s a product, service, gift basket, or experience, your donation will directly support Hayward classrooms and demonstrate your company’s commitment to uplifting our local students and educators.
