St. John the Baptist Social Services will be hosting a luau on Saturday, July 29, to raise funds for the many programs it offers for those in need in the community. It will also be aa fun, social event with 350 people expected.

Social Services seeks to aid and offer long term solutions to Baldwin Park and surrounding residents through programs such as parenting classes, food aid, counseling, immigration assistance, citizenship preparation classes, utility and rental aid, exercise classes, "at risk" youth services, health referrals and workshops nd more. These programs aim to work effectively and efficiently. This event is the primary fundraiser for Social Services for the year.

Support for this event helps make it a big success. The donation would also be recognized at the event and online as a supporter of the luau and the Social Services program aiding the San Gabriel Valley.
