Description

On Saturday, February 3, 2024, the Westchester Food Pantry is excited to once again host its popular Souper Bowl! Last year, our fourth annual Souper Bowl event raised nearly $15,000 for our pantry with over 260 supporters participating. This delicious tasting event featured sixteen local chefs and their best soups, raffles, silent auctions and entertainment. We have high expectations that the 2024 event will be a successful fundraiser as well as a fun community event that will allow our friends to connect with other pantry supporters.

To help make this event a success, will you please donate an item or gift certificate for our raffle or silent auction? Your establishment’s name will be listed in digital marketing materials leading up to and on the day of the event, as well as our program at the event. You will also be identified as a Westchester Food Pantry community partner. All the money raised, including from your tax deductible donation, will be used to support our effort to end hunger in the communities we serve. Please contact me should you wish to make a donation, and to make arrangements for pick up, or if you have questions about a donation.

The Westchester Food Pantry now serves over 450 households each month from the communities of Westchester, Berkeley, Bellwood, Broadview, Hillside, Hines, La Grange Park, and Western Springs. With the recent high inflation, the number of households being served has increased substantially.  We are open twice a week for clients to receive fresh produce, frozen meat, canned goods, dairy products, bakery goods, and even pet food for their furry family members. Our pantry is entirely volunteer-run, and relies on donations to meet our clients’ needs.

We are committed to providing all our neighbors in need with sufficient, healthy food options. With your help, we can continue to make this happen. We look forward to working with you!
