Description

November 2024

Dear Friends,

Can you help us help others?

On Super Bowl Sunday, February 9, 2025, the Mission Committee of the Connecticut Farms Presbyterian Church will once again present our “Souper Bowl of Caring”.  The event generates food to restock our food pantry and funds for our mission activities throughout the year. Our Monthly Food Pantry provides basic food items for individuals and families in need.  We also provided additional emergency food whenever requested.

We hope we can count on you to donate an item for our tricky tray. We are expecting 150 people to attend, as we always sell out (that is the room’s capacity).  We do promote this event on our social media and of course will thank you!

Proceeds from the event will be used to stock our Food Pantry and support our mission activities which include but are not limited to:
We provide support to Restore Ministries that provides safe, loving care and homework assistance in an afterschool program to prevent children from being home alone while their parents are at work.
We provide support to the Emmanuel Cancer Foundation that helps families that have a child with cancer.
We make Blessing Bags for local shelters and the homeless.
We provide support to Family Promise, which provides housing, job training, food, clothing and more to families that would otherwise be homeless.
We provide a Nursing Scholarship to a deserving student.
We support the needs of United Community Corporation that helps hundreds of families every week with food, clothing, housing and more.
We support Operation Warm Heart, a homeless shelter for those in need.

To make the biggest impact, your donation should be received by January 15, 2025, and mailed to:

You can also leave a message for the event chair, Debbie Bloodgood, at the Church office 908 688-3164.
Thank you for your anticipated interest and support of our Missions.

Sincerely,

Lauri Ehrlich
