Description
The Winthrop Middle School currently has 6 special’s classes that each student participates in annually. These classes are STEM, Art, Physical Education, Health, Drama and Music. This year the teachers of these classes have created a program that rewards the students for above and beyond positive behavior with a Specialist buck (dollar). The students are responsible for keeping these bucks secure throughout the year and they will be able to use them at the end of the year during an auction. This has the potential to teach the students a multitude of things including but not limited to, positive behavior, fiscal and personal responsibility, and the ability to lose graciously
