Description

We are delighted to share our 2020 Tasting Room auction raised over $250,000 to help fund the future of Special Olympics Washington! During 2020, we adapted quickly to provide virtual sports and fitness training, emphasizing the importance of staying physically and mentally fit while staying home. Because of the robust support of donors like you, we were able to provide at-home training kits to athletes, as well as provide necessary training to ensure all athletes could fully participate in virtual health and wellness experiences.

We are now preparing for our 2021 auction. To ensure the continued safety of all our friends and families, we will hold an online auction, culminating with a hybrid in-person and virtual event on October 23, 2021.

As you know, our auction is an outstanding way to market your business to the many members of the Special Olympics Washington community. Our 19,500 athletes and families, 10,000 volunteers, and 450 participants in the Tasting Room provide you a loyal audience. In appreciation for your support, your donation will be listed prominently on our online auction donor appreciation media as well as on item website pages, both of which are viewed by our community members who are eager to support our auction partners.

Through the power of sports, health, inclusion and community, people with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths and abilities, skills and success. Special Olympics athletes find joy, confidence and fulfillment—on the playing field and in life. They inspire people in their communities and elsewhere to open their hearts to a wider world of human talents and potential.
