Description

WHO WE ARE
We are Spicy Green Book – a virtual directory for Black-owned food and beverage businesses throughout the US and Canada

OUR MISSION
Our mission is to empower Black-owned food and drink businesses to compete and thrive in the marketplace. We connect customers with these businesses, making it easy for them to participate in what we like to call the ‘Intentional Economy’. Our work enables people to enjoy fantastic food while using their buying power to create a more equitable society.

By providing professional creative services free of charge through a legion of passionate volunteers, we get these businesses online and in front of customers. In doing so, we are building substantive relationships and social trust within communities and creating a more equitable society.

WHAT WE DO
Spicy Green Book provides a wide variety of professional services to Black-owned food and drink business owners. These include online marketing and advertising, content creation, photography and videography, business development education, and more.

We do this by getting to know these business owners, understanding their most pressing needs, and fulfilling those needs by pairing them with qualified professional volunteers. Our growing group of volunteers welcomes everyone who wants to spark positive change.

OUTDOOR FOOD MARKET EVENTS
Spicy Green Book hosts Outdoor Food Market events with 100% Black-owned vendors. Spicy Green Book is a 501c3 nonprofit. EIN is 85-1876971

We have hosted these events successfully in the past and 136% growth in attendance in our events. These events are hosted on a recurring basis multiple times a year and are looking for increased sponsorship/donations from organizations that align with our mission.

These events have been made possible with the help of past/current sponsors that include Verizon, Yahoo, Safeway, Whole Foods, St. Jude, Kinecta Federal Credit Union, OC Gastrocare, and Mongoose Research.

Our press has included ABC, LA Times, OC Register, Spectrum News, and more.

There will be varying food trucks, entertainment, a dining area,  and several pop-ups selling merchandise. We are looking for other companies to partner with as we work to increase additional sponsorship.

We expect 3,500+ attendees at our next event on 02/11/2023 which will take place at 1440 Rosecrans Ave, Manhattan Beach, CA. Visit us at spicygreenbook.org

Your support will help us to create an Intentional Economy by helping Diversity/Inclusion and Racial Equality.
