Description

Mental health issues affect all people regardless of race, income, age, and any other demographic. The work of Provident Behavioral Health is at the front line of this struggle, offering equitable, inclusive, and accessible mental health services for anyone in need.

We are the only provider in Saint Louis who can offer a comprehensive treatment plan of 24/7 crisis services, mental health counseling, psychiatric care, school-based supports, and residential treatment to the people we serve, helping to inspire hope and helping anyone in need.

You too can help inspire hope! On Saturday, February 3, 2024, Provident Behavioral Health will host our annual Spirit of Provident Gala at the Chase Park Plaza. This is our largest fundraising event of the year, with a goal of raising over $450,000 to help our community. Gifts to this event provide critical funds for behavioral health services for individuals, families, children, and older adults – our family, friends, and neighbors.

We anticipate nearly 600 guests at the Gala and funds raised will allow us to continue our mission of building brighter futures through exceptional behavioral health services. Our silent and live auctions are traditions of our Gala, and are a fun way to raise funds to support our mission. Your gift to our Gala auction will help support our most pressing needs:

·          Crisis Services offer 24/7 telephonic support to anyone in need, with highly trained Crisis Intervention Specialists answering multiple lines covering Saint Louis, greater Missouri, and national calls (988).

·          Our counseling and psychiatric services clients range in age from 3 to 85, and 38% of clients report a household income of less than $30,000. With the support of the community, we are able to provide our services at little to no cost to those who otherwise could not afford to seek help.

·         Provident offers mental health counseling to thousands of individuals in offices, schools, and via telehealth. In 2019, we launched same-day counseling services through our Access Center. For $5, those with financial and accessibility barriers receive immediate support.

·         In 2023, Provident launched Behavioral Health Intervention Specialists to support kids, their families, and educators within school campuses.

·         Mary Ryder Home residents benefit from the Intensive Residential Treatment Setting (IRTS), a model that continues to serve and house low-income older adult women with serious and persistent behavioral health diagnoses. Mary Ryder Home offers compassionate and comprehensive care and mental well-being is a top priority for the residents of this program.

The work that we do is critically important and we couldn’t do it without you! Your philanthropic support is essential to sustaining our mission. Please consider a donation, such as a gift certificate, gift basket of items, or monetary support for our Gala auction. Every dollar raised presents an opportunity to help even more people. Please contact me with questions at mbauer@providentstl.org  or 314-802-2581. Donations are needed by Friday, January 12, 2024.
