The Spirit of Springfield Golf Classic is a fun and easy day on the course for golfers and supporters. The scramble-format tournment raises money to support the Spirit of Springfield's efforts to bring the community together in celebration with high-profile, large-scale, family-friendly events like the World's Largest Pancake Breakfast, Star Spangled Springfield, and Bright Nights at Forest Park.

The day begins with registration at 9am and the Mayor's Cup, a friendly but competitive putting competition between local mayors.  

The tournament tees off at 10am with a shotgun start.  Lunch is servded on the course.  Participants receive a golf souvenier and a $25 gift card for a Springfield restraunt.  On the course, there is a hole-in-one competition, closest to the pin and longest drive, and air gun.
