Description

5K Celebration

Confidence through Accomplishment!

Each season comes to an end with a celebratory 5K. This closing event gives program participants of all abilities a tangible sense of accomplishment. Crossing the finish line instills confidence through completion and is a joyful moment program participants always remember! Everyone in our program receives a commemorative medal to celebrate this incredible achievement.

We are expecting nearly 1,200 5K participants, half of which wil be between the ages of 8-12. To help make this the most joyous 5K in our region, we are in need of donations including bottled water, healthy post 5K snacks, vendor tents and volunteers. We need approximately 150 volunteers to make this day magical for participants. With nearly half of our program participants requiring scholarships to participate, donations to help cover the cost of the event are always needed. All of our scholarship participants receive all of the same fantastic program goodies - season t-shirt, water bottle, finishers medal and journal, but also receive a brand new pair of running shoes and a sports bra, if they desire. Can you help us continue to offer these necessary items to our participants so ALL girls who want to participate, can, regardless of their family's financial situation.
