School Year 2023/2024

Dear Business Owner:

I hope that this letter finds you well. I am writing to you on behalf of the Board of Trustees of North Shore Montessori School (NSMS) located in Stony Brook, NY. As you may know, NSMS has been a proud member of the Three Village community for over fifty (50) years and is consistently recognized as being a leader when it comes to providing a Montessori education to our children. With a strong early childhood education, our alumni grow to become knowledgeable, capable individuals who love to learn and have a strong sense of self.

On May 17th, 2024 we will be holding our annual Basket Raffle Fundraiser in our school gymnasium. This fundraiser is one of the few opportunities we have to come together to support our school. Through what we hope will be the continued generous spirit of the business community, baskets will be assembled containing donated items and then raffled off to the winning ticket holder. In years past, local businesses in the Three Village community have graciously provided generous support for our beloved school and its programs through donated goods or prizes to be raffled. These donations regardless of value, are all greatly appreciated. For the current school year, we have set a fundraising goal of $50,000. As in years past, these funds will go towards continuing Montessori education for our teachers, classroom materials and improvement of our school library. With your assistance and the commitment of our parent body and dedicated staff, I am confident this goal is attainable even in a difficult time.

Again, we are always grateful for the generosity of your businesses and we sincerely hope that you will consider helping us. All businesses who contribute to the fundraiser will be acknowledged in our fundraiser program materials. NSMS is a non-profit, non-sectarian, parent cooperative and is supported through tuition payments, parent participation and fundraising. As we are a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization, your donation is tax deductible to the extent provided by law.
