On Friday, March 24, 2023, Jack & June Furr Elementary School will host their annual schoolwide family event, the Spring Family Dance and Silent Auction. Not only will the event be a #FURRnominal family night, it will also raise much needed funds for Furr Elementary School.

Jack & June Furr Elementary School is part of Prosper ISD and opened in August 2019. The school is located in Valor Pointe in Westridge in McKinney and is one of two schools in PISD with a Title I designation. Furr Elementary is proud to be recognized by Niche as the #140th most diverse public elementary school in Texas out of nearly 5,000 schools and #920th most diverse public elementary school in the nation out of over 55,500 schools. Current enrollment is nearing 1,000 students in kindergarten through 5th grade.

It is because of the generous support of the local business community Furr PTO can assist the school by supporting our amazing teachers and purchasing items necessary to provide a solid academic start for our students – items such as guided reading books to expand teacher libraries; supplemental ‘Specials’ needs such as PE equipment, art supplies, STEAM materials and musical resources; healthy snacks for our students in the free and reduced lunch program; and supplemental classroom supplies like math manipulatives.
