Description

The Sullivan Middle School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) mission is to institute and sustain a close relationship between the parents, teachers, and students by evolving opportunities within the home, school, and community.

The PTO provides assistance to teachers within the classroom settings, raises funds for educational materials and experiences, advocates school and family social interaction, and provides an unbiased forum for sharing information on issues that impact our children.  It is our belief that the team effort of a parent teacher organization offers the best possible learning environment for our children and creates a positive and meaningful impact on their lives.

One of our goals for the Sullivan Middle School PTO is to raise funding for activities above and beyond what is included in the allocated annual budget from the district.

At the Sullivan Middle School, there are over 600 students enrolled each year in grades 5 through 8.  65% of our students come from economically disadvantaged families, 67% are minorities, while 36% have English as a second language.

Our June 8, 2023 Spring Family Fair Fundraiser is an evening of fun with games, food, snacks, and raffles for our middle school students and their families.

The Sullivan Middle School PTO is seeking contributions to fill three (3) "Summertime Fun" Baskets that include activities students and their families can do over the summer.  100% of the proceeds from the fair goes directly to activities/supplies for 5th to 8th grade students (such as class field trips, science activities, art supplies, etc.).
