Description

Starr King Elementary School is a pre-kindergarten through fifth grade school with 320 students located in the Potrero Hill neighborhood of San Francisco, California. The mission of Starr King Elementary School is to foster a love of learning and learning together through several programs that emphasize the diversity of our programs - Special Education, Experiential Learning, and Mandarin Immersion.

Starr King is one of the most ethnically and socio-economically diverse public schools within the San Francisco Unified School District. Our school is uniquely located directly adjacent to the Starr King Open Space, a San Francisco public health clinic, and one of the largest public housing projects in San Francisco. Our students, teachers, and families embrace the myriad perspectives, opportunities, and challenges of our kaleidoscopic community.

As a member of the PTA and a parent at Starr King, we are requesting a donation of a product, gift certificate or service from your business suitable for auction/ raffle prize item(s) to support our annual silent auction fundraising event, Spring Fling 2023, which will take place on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the Southeast Community Center. Your help with our event would go a long way to making our Spring Fling auction a huge success.

This exciting event is our major fundraiser of the year and will feature entertainment, a silent auction, and food. We hope you will be able to lend your support. Funds raised at the event will allow the school to maintain and develop vital enrichment programs, as well as literacy and special education efforts. Every gift made in support of our school is an investment both in our educational programs, and in each child the school serves.
