Kester Avenue Elementary/Magnet Elementary, a California Distinguished School, is an elementary school located in the heart of Sherman Oaks. We have over 1,000 students combined in our resident school and gifted/high ability magnet school. The Kester Avenue PTA is the parent-teacher association at Kester.

The mission of the Kester Avenue PTA is to support students by bringing enrichment programs that are not offered by the Los Angeles Unified School District to students. The Kester PTA is committed to inspiring students to achieve their greatest potential by providing enrichment programs that broaden their intellectual, artistic, physical, and personal growth during their primary educative years. We believe that active parent, teacher, and community involvement are necessary to ensure student success. We do this through various fundraisers, including this year’s Bingo Night Fundraiser, which will take place on December 9, 2020, Magic Night Fundraiser on Februrary, 11 2021 and other events we are still planning, that will be attended by many parents and community leaders. The proceeds from this year’s events will enable the Kester Avenue PTA to continue to pay for computer lab classes for all of our students, physical education classes for all of our students, art classes, hands-on science lab services, music and dance classes, school nurse services and field trips, among other items. During the current situation, we are still paying for Computer lab instructions, Science Program and TA, Music teacher, that are all happening via Zoom. Our school nurse is even teaching the kids Zumba over Zoom.

We're currently collecting merchandise, gift cards, and services for our event and we are writing to request your support. By making a donation to the Silent Auctions/Raffles/Prizes that will be held throughout the year, you would be making a tax deductible contribution that will help bring important enrichment programs to the students of Kester and you'd gain valuable exposure at our event.
