Hello, my name is Marc McGeever, and I am the Board President for the Gunderson High School Foundation.  In my role as a board member, I interact with local businesses to gain support for our fundraisers.  Our next fundraiser will be an online auction in mid-April, and we are hoping you can make a donation for this event.
 
The Gunderson Foundation was formed in 2001, to assist with school-wide programs and scholarships, which cannot be funded by the school or the San Jose Unified School District due to budget constraints.  Since our inception, the Foundation has lived by the motto “Community Supporting Students”.  The Foundation wants to be a resource and focal point in attracting community support for needs that would otherwise go unaddressed for this Title I school.
 
Our focus for this year is to raise money for peer-based wellness programs and encouraging academic excellence.  With the support of Principal Dalal and the Gunderson Foundation, our student leadership team is developing a social wellness program, which will reduce stress and create a support system for the students at Gunderson High School.
