My name is Kathy Rywolt and I am the Director of Red Brick School in Barrington, Rhode Island. Red Brick is a non-profit organization serving students from East Bay, Providence and Southern Massachusetts.

We are gearing up for our 2015 Major Fundraiser and Silent Auction, which we are planning to hold this spring. We are having Spring Gala on March 28, 2015 at Rhode Island Country Club. The event is open to all Red Brick families as well as the community. We hope to have a huge turnout. Money raised by this event is used to fund much-needed items at the school; these are things that are not accounted for in the tuition, such as new rugs in the classrooms, bathroom upgrades and additions to the playground.

To give you a bit of insight into Red Brick, I can tell you that we offer classes for children aged 3 years through kindergarten. Our teachers strive to educate the whole child through a developmental approach to learning. Utilizing the eight domains of The Rhode Island Early Learning Standards, our teachers incorporate social and emotional development, literacy, mathematics, science, creativity, physical health, language development and approaches to learning into their curriculum. The importance of play as a learning tool is basis of our program. Each day our students are given the opportunity to learn through exploration and discovery.
