Description

Bayhill High School, located in Berkeley, California is the only WASC-accredited, nonpublic, non-profit, certified high school for students with learning differences in the San Francisco East Bay.  The mission of Bayhill High School is to educate students with learning differences who may be highly talented and intelligent, yet unable to succeed in traditional schools due to conditions such as dyslexia, ADHD, auditory processing disorder, non-verbal learning disorders, and a host of other challenges.  The scarcity of such schools in the San Francisco Bay Area, especially the East Bay region, is a particularly dire problem for students with learning differences.  Our students travel from all over the Bay Area, including Walnut Creek, San Francisco, Martinez, Concord, Pleasant Hill, Pittsburg, Brentwood, Clayton, Danville, Hercules, Pleasanton, San Francisco, Albany, Berkeley, El Cerrito, and San Leandro, in order to have an education that meets their needs.

This is why we are taking up the challenge of securing donations for our upcoming Spring Gala, which will take place on May 13, 2023.  The purpose of this annual fundraiser is to provide the vital resources that our students and families need for continued success.  Money raised from our Spring Gala will help us to provide more experiential learning opportunities for our students such as field trips, job shadows, career/technical education, and expanded visual and performing arts classes. Opportunities such as these allow students to apply academic knowledge to real-world design thinking and problem solving, areas in which neurodivergent students excel.

Please help us continue to support and educate high school students with learning differences, maximizing their inherent abilities so they may achieve success. Your efforts are greatly appreciated.

Donations recevied will be used for a silent and live auction. Event will take place on May 13, 2023 in Orinda, California with estimated 100 guests. Thank you in advance!
