Description

Spring into the Arts, or "SITA", is Stanton Community Partners' biggest annual fundraisng effort.  In it's 9th year, the silent auction event showcases and benefits the students and staff of E.M. Elementary School in Philadelphia, PA.  It is part auction, part art show, part community pep rally for the amazing talent and tenacity of this small Philadelphia public school serving a diverse population of students from Graduate Hospital and Point Breeze neighborhoods.

Through sponsorships, donated auction items, and in-kind donations, SCP raises tens of thousands of dollars annually to fund arts and language programming for Stanton. Past and present partnerships funded by monies raised at SCP's Spring into the Arts event include those with the Clay Studio, Bilingual Butterflies, Philadelphia Young Playwrights, and PlayWorks. This year, we have set three fundraising goals:

to sustain and expand existing co-curricular programming through the Clay Studio and Bilingual Butterflies,
to launch Stanton's forthcoming maker-space in its renovated school library,
to provide stewardship for our newly renovated school yard, recently recognized by the Philadelphia Water Department as one of 13 Philadelphia School District "Stormwater Pioneers" for its eco-conscious design.
