Iowa Farm Sanctuary first opened its doors in 2016 as the state's first vegan farmed animal sanctuary. At IFS, we provide a safe haven for farmed animals in need of love and compassion, while providing humans the opportunity to experience the unique sentience and intelligence found within these animals. Our mission is one of compassion, and its reaching more people than ever before!

On Saturday, May 18th, 2024, we'll be hosting our beloved annual Spring Pignic fundraising event (and the online silent auction will begin running two weeks prior to that)! Historically, our Spring Pignic has been our most popular event ever, selling out at 250 tickets! Guests will enjoy a tour of the sanctuary, a talented live music performance, an engaging speaker panel discussion, family-friendly activities, and a delicious catered vegan lunch. It's no surprise that our supporters from around the world look forward to this event year after year!

As a non-profit organization, we rely solely on the generosity of our supporters, and this event is a major source of funding to keep our sanctuary running all year long! 150 residents currently call IFS home.
