Description

Children’s mental health has reached a critical point for action in our greater
Washington, DC community. For over 49 years, The Foundation Schools, 501(c)(3) has
provided personalized special education programming to strengthen children’s mental
health and remove barriers in their lives to help them create brighter futures. As 100%

students live with additional significant disadvantages that prevent them from being
successful in school. Homelessness, financial insecurity, and not having enough to eat
at home: these are the crises our students endure. In 2021, The Foundation Schools
created the Emergency Fund to provide financial and basic needs relief for our
students and families in need. Our Emergency Fund is 100% funded by our generous
donors and this spring you can help more families in need by contributing an item to our
April 15 - 19 Spring Virtual Auction! This exciting online event will allow our students
to blossom into successful learners, giving them the security they need to focus in the
classroom.
