St. James Lutheran School is celebrating the growth of our school and community with 'Grateful Hearts' as we

prepare for the upcoming 2024 St. James Traveler’s Gala.

As the oldest, continuously operating school in Chicago, St. James Lutheran School serves families from several

Chicagoland communities and offers high standards of education for approximately 200 students from early

childhood through middle school. St. James is committed to nurturing each student’s unique talents and

fostering their holistic development through research-based educational strategies, inquiry-based learning, and

faith formation. This well-rounded approach prepares our students to LOVE compassionately, LEARN

confidently, and LEAD courageously, all with ‘Grateful Hearts’.

Funding a quality education requires more than just tuition. It requires the generosity and compassion of our

community. On Friday, April 12, 2024, we will host our sole annual fundraiser, the ‘Grateful Hearts’ 2024

Traveler’s Gala, at Morgan Manufacturing in the West Loop. The Gala is a festive evening inclusive of an

energetic live and silent auction program. We are expecting over 250 guests with a goal of raising

over $350,000 to provide the resources necessary to educate, equip, and encourage our students to thrive as

life-long learners and leaders.
