St. Joseph School is a small elementary school (3yrs old-grade 8) located in a suburb of Boston.  Our school community is made up of 170 children.  Our scholars and their families come to our school community from 20 different cities in towns.  We have some scholars traveling from the city and we have others as far north as Ipswich.  Our community is vastly diverse with scholars of many different ethnicities, races and religions.  Although we are a Catholic school, we embrace scholars of all religions!  Many of our scholars come to us for the small nurturing community we provide and the opportunity to be in a small classroom setting.  Many of them need an environment where they can get more one-on-one attention and we are able to do that for them.

Our school depends solely on tuition for all aspects of our finances.  Our goal is to try to keep tuition affordable for all of our families.  In order to do this fundraising is key.  This event will be a silent/live auction.  There will be a buffet dinner (donated by the Texas Roadhouse), and music for the down time of the evening.  This event is coming back after a brief hiatus and we are hoping that it will once again become a successful fundraiser.  It helps us to purchase up to date learning and instructional materials for our scholars without having to raise the cost of tuition for our families who are already doing the best that they can.  This year our hope is to purchase science learning materials, equipment and textbooks. We are I dire need of updating our materials.  We also have hopes of creating a STEM lab for our littlest scholars.  The funds raised from this event will go towards making this a reality for our students.

Our event will be a Silent/Live Auction.  We will be hosting it at the school and we will have a sit down dinner and entertainment as well as a silent auction and a live auction later in the evening.
