My name is Emma Nelson and I am a member of the Community Engagement Team at Autism Speaks, where our mission is to create an inclusive world for all individuals with autism throughout their lifespan. We do this through advocacy, services, supports, research and innovation, and advances in care for autistic individuals and their families. We will be hosting our 13th annual Autism Speaks St. Louis Chef Gala on Friday, February 28, 2025 at The Royal Sonesta Chase Park Plaza St. Louis! We would be thrilled if you could join us for this great event and celebrate the work that is made possible because of the compassion and generosity of supporters like you! The evening will begin with a cocktail reception and tasting buffet prepared by Top Chefs and Culinary Experts local to St. Louis. The Chefs will be assisted by Culinary Champion Sous Chefs, children or young adults on the spectrum. We will be hosting a live auction and silent auction and would like to invite you to participate as a donor. By donating an item, you'll be making a tax-deductible contribution that will help make a better life for families and individuals affected by autism spectrum disorders in our St. Louis community. All proceeds from the auctions will be donated to Autism Speaks St. Louis. Autism Speaks is dedicated to promoting solutions, across the spectrum and throughout the life span, for the needs of individuals with autism and their families. We do this through advocacy and support; increasing understanding and acceptance of people with autism; and advancing research into causes and better interventions for autism spectrum disorder and related conditions. We empower people with autism and their families with resources, online tools and information covering the life span. An estimated 1 in 36 children is on the autism spectrum.
